Housefull 2 – Songs

Apparently the movie, Housefull 2 is all about leaving our brains behind before going to the theatres. The songs are even sillier than that. Expectations were pretty high from the music directors, Sajid-Wajid after giving us some of the melodious numbers in Dabangg, but they seem to have lost the touch.

Anarkali disco chali felt more like a drag, since there was nothing new in it. It can be fun watching Malika move her hips for the song on TV, but not really the kind of song that you would want to download and listen with your friends.

Evidently the song Right Now is just another copycat job from Akon’s number Right Now. The name of the song has been retained, which makes Sameer’s (lyricist) creativity skills a questionable factor. The inspirational factor obviously is the popularity of Akon’s number in his India concerts. Maybe Sameer is piled up with many assignments, and the rush job is quite evident in the song.

The song Do You Know is another inspirational mix of many Hindi oldies, but the end result is definitely far from desirable. Even this so called romantic number, does not have the kind of appeal that it should.

Papa To Band Bajaye is probably the only number in the movie that shows slight traces of the entertainment quotient. The lyrics are rib tickling funny, if you are in the mood for a good laugh, but it is not the kind of song that builds up your mood.

Silliness is probably the best word that can describe the entire Housefull 2 album.
